BookCity is pleased to welcome its readers and friends once again. Following the damage sustained during the recent war, the Central BookCity store has reopened its doors as of 22 March 2026. Throughout the Nowruz holidays, the store will receive visitors every day from 11:00 to 16:00.
In recent weeks, several BookCity branches have also been affected. The Bahman store has been completely destroyed, while the Almas and Al‑Ghadir branches require extensive reconstruction. The Haft‑Howz and Iranshahr stores, despite the damage they endured, have returned to activity and are once again doing their best to remain open to readers.
BookCity carries the marks of these difficult days, yet its purpose remains unchanged. Bookstores exist because people continue to seek words, ideas, and the quiet companionship of books—even in uncertain times. Our spaces remain open in the hope that they may offer a moment of calm: a place to pause, to turn a page, to remember that culture and conversation endure.
We look forward to welcoming you back. As always, your presence gives life to these spaces and helps ensure that the doors of BookCity remain open to readers.
