On Saturday, 20 June 2026 (30 Khordad 1405), Ilam BookCity welcomed Abdoljabbar Kakaei, a prominent contemporary Iranian poet. The cultural event drew a substantial audience of readers and literature enthusiasts.
The programme had two main parts. The first was a talk and discussion entitled “Rumi and the Life of People Today,” in which Kakaei shared his views on the place and relevance of Rumi’s thought in the contemporary world.
The second and final part was the launch of Kakaei’s latest poetry collection, Truth Be Told. A book-signing session concluded the event, giving readers an opportunity to speak directly with the poet.
