On Monday, 23 Shahrivar, Ahvaz BookCity hosted a meeting and conversation with writer Mostafa Mastoor.
The discussion explored the inner world of fictional characters: love and loneliness, faith and doubt, life and death, and the moments when stories blur the boundary between “I” and “the other”. Participants shared their questions with the writer and revisited familiar stories from fresh perspectives.
After the conversation, Mastoor signed readers’ books and posed for photographs with them. The meeting concluded with a new image added to Ahvaz BookCity’s Wall of Literary Figures—a record of books, smiles and people brought together by a shared love of literature.
Ahvaz BookCity’s gatherings create an open social space for direct exchange between writers and readers, strengthening literary participation and community life beyond the pages of a book.
