The unveiling ceremony of the book “Mohammad-San: A Narrative of Development in Iran” authored by Dr. Hossein Ghorbani and narrated by Professor Mohammadreza Sarkar Arani was held in Central BookCity.
This event took place on the evening of Tuesday, June 11, at the Central BookCity in Tehran, with the attendance of numerous university professors, faculty members, and book enthusiasts.
In Japanese, “Mohammad-San” means Mr. Mohammad. The book represents a cultural synthesis, embodying an Iranian who has adopted Western ways, a Westerner who has embraced Japanese culture, and their attempt to view the development narrative in Iran through these three lenses. This narrative showcases the transition from questioning the essence (Iranian perspective) to inquiring about the reasons (Western perspective) and finally examining the methods (Japanese perspective) in the field of education and training.
The book is a story of shared journeys, learning, listening, and action. It portrays our childhood story from seed to seed; with Mohammad-San, we embark on a journey to understand the end of childhood together and give it meaning, for without comprehending childhood, it is challenging to progress.
Therefore, in this narrative, we accompany Mohammad-San from the early stages of childhood to its conclusion, remaining inquisitive and explorative at every stage.
It is noteworthy that Mohammadreza Sarkar Arani, born in 1965 in Aran and Bidgol, currently holds a professorship in Pedagogy at Nagoya University in Japan.
