On the evening of Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Royan BookCity transformed into a vibrant hub of folklore and festivity. The special Yalda celebration, titled “Mitra and the Frost Giant” (Mitra va Div-e Sarma), brought together children and parents for an immersive journey into the heart of Persian winter traditions.
More Than Just a Story
While the Royan branch hosted this specific magic, these curated cultural events are a staple across all Book City branches. Our mission is to bridge the gap between ancient Iranian heritage and the new generation through interactive storytelling, music, and joy.
Highlights of the Evening:
- The Performance: Lead performers Hadi Hassan-ali and Paria Hassani brought the legend of Mitra to life. Through a blend of rhythmic music and theatrical storytelling, they turned a cold winter night into a warm, shared experience.
- Interactive Learning: In a lively Q&A session, “Uncle Hadi” engaged the little ones, explaining the symbolism of the Frost Giant and the triumph of light, turning curiosity into cultural pride.
- A Family Affair: Beyond the stage, the “Children’s Corner” offered a dedicated space for family photos and traditional Yalda treats, ensuring the night ended with memories that will last long after the snow melts.
At Book City, we believe that books are just the beginning; the real magic happens when those stories step off the page and into the hearts of our community.
